STUDY TOUR THEMED “JOURNEY THROUGH CENTRAL HERITAGE 2018”
This study tour – a must-do activity in the Tour Guiding Diploma program – of 9 days from 3 to 11 May 2018 has offered 150 students the opportunity to enjoy colorful landscapes and learn about historical relics, as well as cultural ones recognized by UNESCO like the Ancient Town of Hoi An, Cham Sanctuary, Citadels of Hue, Phong Nha Ke Bang Caves – along the journey of more than 2,100 kilometers by road passing several provinces of the Center and Central Highland.
AWARDING CEREMONY FOR THE 10TH EXCELLENCE VOCATIONAL CONTEST 2018
At the Awarding Ceremony jointly organized by HCM City Youth Union and HCM City Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs on May the 13th 2018, participants from STHC have been awarded First and Second Prizes for the contest on food service, First and Consolation Prizes for Tour Guide Contest, First Prize for Housekeeping Contest.
Appreciation certificates have also been presented to STHC and 6 of its teachers for their contribution to 2018 Vocational Contest
STHC WINNERS IN NATIONAL VOCATIONAL CONTEST 2018 AWARDED
The round of National Vocational Contest 2018 from 13th to 20th May 2018 has attracted 526 contestants from 56 teams competing in 26 trades. Four students from STHC joined the team of HCM City and competed in the trades of cookery and food service. Final results for STHC: gold and consolation prizes for cookery, two consolation prizes for food service.
At the ceremony Appreciation Certificates from the Central HCM Youth Union and from Vietnam’s Prime Minister have also been presented to Vu Hoang Trinh from STHC who was awarded a certificate of Excellence at WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017 in the previous year.
US PECAN COOKERY CONTEST
The contest (final round) was jointly organized for two days 22 – 23 May 2018 by STHC, US Pecans Growers Council and the Agriculture Office at US Consulate General in HCM City with the aim of enriching food knowledge as well as inspiring creativity to cookery students at STHC. Chef Eric Perez was judge at the contest.
SAIGONTOURIST YOUTH TRADITIONAL CAMP 2018
The event – the eleventh of its kind – was hosted by Saigontourist Youth Union for the period 23-25 May 2018 in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province. Youth members from STHC had actively took part in all activities at the event, including music show, cooking contest, presentation, games.
