Who We Are

The Saigontourist Hospitality College (STHC) is a post-secondary institution that seeks to provide students with hands-on training in the hospitality and tourism industry.

STHC was established as a basic tourism and hotel school in September 15, 1989. It was later upgraded to an official college. While the school is a member of the Saigontourist Holding Company, it is a public college. The school reports the government of Vietnam, but works independently.

STHC recruits more than 2,000 students for diploma programs every year. These two-year programs include majors such as: Tour Guiding, Hotel Management, Restaurant Management, and Culinary Arts. The curriculum is designed to meet international standards, with a major focus dedicated to practical experience. STHC also teaches a number of short-term programs, which train thousands of students each year.

After nearly 30 years, more than 50,000 students have graduated, and gained employment in tourism enterprises in Vietnam and overseas. Many of them have won national and international awards for professional competitions. Many of STHC’s alumni have been promoted to top positions in their fields.

Since 2009, the number of applicants has increased by over 15% each year. This success is credited to the emphasis on hands on experience through not only the curriculum, but through internships that are offered with well-established and highly rated enterprises. STHC also provides on the job training for the staff of businesses around the country.

The school prides itself on its diverse culture, and hosts numerous students and volunteers from across Asia, Denmark, and Canada.

STHC’s achievements can be attributed to the school’s vision of ‘responding to the needs of learners, and of society’ and the dedication of the teaching staff. Its emphasis is on providing students with practical skills, hands on experience, and positive attitudes to help them launch into a successful career in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
