QUEEN ELIZABETH II’S BIRTHDAY AND THE 45TH ANNIVERSARY OF VIETNAM – UK DIPLOMATIC TIE CELEBRATED
The event was co-organized by HCM City Friendship Union, HCM City Vietnam – UK Friendship Association and Saigontourist Hospitality College. The campus of Saigontourist Hospitality College served as venue for this significant event. Mr Ian Gibbons – UK Consular General to HCM City – and Mr Tran Hung Viet – Director General of Saigontourist Holding Company –and also the Chairman of HCM City Vietnam – UK Friendship Association were present at the celebration.
YOUTH PROGRESSIVE FESTIVAL 2018
On June 10th, 2018 the Youth Progressive Festival 2018 at HUTECH University attracted 100 young students from various educational institutions. At the festival the students were honored for following President Ho Chi Minh’s examples in continuous learning. Ms Vu Hoang Trinh from STHC who is winner of gold medal at 2016 National Cooking Contest in Hanoi, Certificate of Excellence at Dubai Cooking Contest 2017, was among the students honored.
TASTE OF CHEESES 2018
On June 26th, 2018 the Taste of Cheeses 2018 was organized at STHC campus. The aim was to introduce dairy industry and cheese products of the state of California, USA to STHC cookery students.
After the morning session training on California cheese products with Chef Mark Tood, the participants joined the Taste of Cheese 2018 Contest in which contestants had to make two pieces of cake from US cheese.
AN EXPERIMENT ON VOCATIONAL EDUCATION WITH STHC
For a period of 4 days from 25th to 28th June 2018 students from Vietnam Australia International High School (VAS) went through an experiment in vocational education with STHC. VAS students were taught how to practice some basic skills in the discipline of Tour guiding, housekeeping, food and beverage services at the campus of STHC.
CAREER ORIENTATION FOR TEENAGERS AT STHC
The event was jointly organized on June 27th and 28th 2018 by Vietnam Youth Union, District 1 and STHC, with the aim of promoting vocational training.
The event attracted 40 teenagers and young adults with passion for pastry. Apart from orientation activities, the event included a pastry contest.
