COOPERATION BETWEEN AUCHAN RETAIL VIETNAM AND STHC
Saigontourist Hospitality College (STHC) and Auchan Retail Vietnam signed Cooperation Agreement on 25th August 2017.
Auchan Retail is a French retail group with presence in 17 countries. The Group got licence to operate in Vietnam since 2015 with a rapid growth. Up to now it has 14 supermarkets nationwide.
SECOND INTAKE IN 2017
The second intake for 2017 at STHC took place on 30th and 31st August, with the presence of 1,500 candidates, of the School Management and several faculty Heads.
STHC 2017 RECEPTIONIST CONTEST WITH “LEARN TO INTEGRATE” AS THEME
Over the period between 21st July to 1st September 2017 STHC has held the Receptionist Contest STHC 2017 with the theme “Learn to integrate”. The purpose of the Contest is to enhance passion, confidence, teamspirit of hospitality students. This is also an opportunity to creat networking between students and tutors, between students and students.
THE FINAL YOUNG TALENTS ESCOFFIER 2017 IN ASIA
Young Talents Escoffier 2017 was one of the most important culinary competitions in Asia. The Final round for Asia was recently held in Hongkong from 4 to 7 September 2017 for finalists from China, Hongkong, Macau, Singapore, South Korea, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Winners were:
– Mr. Han Jie Koh – Singapore, Gold Medal
– Mr. Jie Tao Yu – Macao, Silver Medal
– Ms Pham Thi Anh Tuyet – Vietnam, Bronze Medal
STUDY TOUR TO MEKONG DELTA IN 2017
A5 day study tour to Mekong Delta has been organized for 179 tour guiding students of STHC
HCM CITY HOUSEKEEPING CONTEST
Between August 18th and September 21, 2017 HCM City Tourism Department in conjunction with HCM City Tourism Association has held 2017 HCM City Housekeeping Contest. After the primary (18th August) and semi final (25th August) rounds 10 candidates as well as 3 teams have been qualified to enter the final round held at Hoa Su 2 restaurant of First Hotel on 21st September. Truong Dinh Tu of STHC won the 2nd Prize and the “Most Preferred Candidate” Title for candidates from tourism schools and hotels of less than 3 star classification.
