MOU SIGNING BETWEEN MELBOURNE INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION, JR AUSTRALIA, STHC AND ITEDIC

On November the 2nd, 2017 at STHC a Cooperation MOU was signed by STHC, Melbourn Institute of Education, JR Australia and ITEDIC (Institute of Training Educational Development and International Cooperation)

Convocation Festivities with the theme “Youth Flame 2017”

2017 Convocation Festivities with the theme “Youth Flame 2017” took place from 6 to 8 November at DamB’ri in Dalat city of Lam Dong province with the participation of 450 students, representatives from the School’s Board of Management and faculties.

The Convocation – a yearly event that has been held for 16 years in a row – has become a typical educational model to equip new students with inspiration, right attitudes and passion for their future career in tourism.

STUDY TOUR AT STHC FOR STUDENTS FROM LAGUNA UNIVERSITY OF PHILIPPINES

On November 9th, 2017 STHC hosted a study tour at its campus for 40 Philippino students led by Ms Nenevetch Grace Marco from Laguna University of Philippines.

After a guided tour around the campus, Laguna University students practiced making Vietnamese spring rolls under the guidance of STHC’s cookery tutors.

FULLTIME DIPLOMA COURSES 2017-2019 OPENED

November 10th, 2017 saw the grand opening of full time diploma courses for 2017-2019.

Mr Vo Van Nhanh, School’s Principal, gave speech and performed the traditional drum beating to mark the opening.

Also by tradition, symbols for the 4 majors at STHC, namely Hotel Management, Restaurant Management, Tour Guiding and Cookery, were handed over by representatives of senior students to representatives of freshmen students. This marks as a milestone in the career path of the new students.

TEACHERS’ DAY 2017

The 35th Anniversary of the Teachers’ Day was solemmly held at the campus of STHC. Fresh flowers from students and a large wreath from the Management of Saigontourist Holding Company (the mother company of STHC) were presented to teachers and faculty staff of the school as a sign of gratitude and congratulations.

The day ended with a dinner reception held in favor of all teachers – full time as well as visiting teachers.

CULTURAL EXCHANGE WITH STUDENTS FROM UNIVERSITY MARA, MALAYSIA

A group of 23 students led by Ms Silverina Anabelle Kibat of University Mara came to STHC on November 22nd, 2017 for a cultural exchange programme.

The international students learnt about STHC’s training activities via a thorough campus tour with visits to practical facilities of Front Office, Housekeeping, Restaurant, Tour Guiding and Kitchens.

The programme ended with an exchange of souvenirs and the delivery of participation certificate for students of University Mara.
