On April 2, 2025, the Tour Guiding Faculty organized a field trip to the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History for students majoring in Tour Guiding. This activity is part of the training program, aimed at helping students better understand methods of site surveying, research, and hands-on practice in the tour guiding profession.
The Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History is one of the city's important cultural landmarks, housing and displaying numerous valuable artifacts that reflect Vietnam's history and culture from prehistoric times to the modern era. The museum is not only a place that brings history to life but also an ideal space for learning and research for those passionate about and interested in the nation's past.
Throughout the visit, students were not only able to explore the meaningful exhibition spaces but also received guidance on how to survey a tourist site, collect and filter information, and build engaging commentary content. This was an opportunity for students to sharpen their observation skills and gain deeper insights into the role and responsibilities of a professional tour guide.
Through this activity, STHC students not only enhanced their knowledge of history and culture but also developed essential soft skills such as communication, public speaking, and tour organization. These are vital elements that will help them feel more confident and better prepared as they enter the real-world working environment!
