Recently, students majoring in Tour Guiding from the Faculty of Tour Guiding (STHC) took part in an immersive field trip to the Thien Hau Pagoda – one of the most culturally and spiritually significant heritage sites of the Chinese community in Ho Chi Minh City.

During the visit, our students gained a comprehensive understanding of:
The historical origins and cultural values of Thien Hau Pagoda.
Its unique architecture, artistic elements, and distinctive religious rituals.
The site's vital role in boosting Ho Chi Minh City's tourism development.

What made this experience truly special was the opportunity for students to practise their guiding commentary in small groups right on-site, applying their classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios. They honed their presentation skills, communication techniques, and situational response abilities – just like a professional tour guide.

At STHC, we believe in "learning through experience". Our students frequently participate in practical field trips where they can observe, research, and directly practice their future profession. This hands-on approach helps them sharpen their skills, build unwavering confidence, and fully prepare to meet the expectations of employers right after graduation.

With a training philosophy that firmly bridges academia and real-world practice, the Faculty of Tour Guiding is committed to making every trip not just a sightseeing tour, but an "open classroom" – a place where students absorb valuable knowledge and gain essential career insights that will stay with them for life!
