Restaurant & Hotel Competencies

TRAINING PERIOD: 04 months. ( 6 days / week )

TRAINING PROGRAM:

The course aims at providing learners with knowledge and competencies to work in the areas of hotel, restaurants and tourism.

Training program consists of 3 sections: Front Office Skills, Serving in Restaurant Skills and Housekeeping Skills.

FRONT OFFICE & HOUSEKEEPING SKILLS

FRONT OFFICE SKILLS:

Leaners are provided with knowledge and practical skills to work as a hotel receptionist

  • Preparation before work
  • Communication skills
  • Telephone skills
  • Reservation
  • Registration
  • Handling complaints
  • Check-out and cashiering

HOUSEKEEPING SKILLS

Leaners are provided with knowledge and skills to make up rooms at hotels or service operations.

  • Preparation before work
  • Use of chemicals and detergents for cleaning
  • Work process of cleaning living rooms and bathrooms
  • Steps of room decoration
  • Ending working shifts

SERVING IN RESTAURANT SKILLS

Leaners are provided with general knowledge of how a restaurant works, of different kinds of restaurant service, of preparation and serving skills.

  • Preparation before work

  • Preparation in a restaurant

  • Beverage and food serving skills

  • Serving skills for banquets, cocktail and buffet parties

  • Serving skills for set menu of Asian or Western food

  • Taking orders

  • Customer care skills
